Ophthalmologists from the "Oculoplastic" eye clinic, a subsidiary of the Mongolian National University of Medical and Science, conducted precautionary eye exams for 1st to 12th-grade students.
A prevention checkup is essential because:
- Early diagnosis of the causes of poor vision
- Preventing the formation of blurry vision
- Accurate identification of fractures
- Early diagnosis of eye diseases.
Out of 1525 children, 1382 participated in an eye examination. Of those, 937 had normal vision, while 445 (or 32.63%) had some eye disorders. The results of the checkup were sent to the homeroom teachers, so the parents and guardians need to be aware of the following to improve your child's eye health:
- A child with abnormal vision must undergo a thorough examination by a qualified eye doctor.
- Redo the checkups every six months.
- Wear visual glasses regularly only to be appropriately tailored to a professional doctor's prescription.
- Reduce the amount of time spent using smartphones.
Thanks to the dedicated community at the "Oculoplastic" eye clinic, who made quality checkups within the framework of social responsibility.
